run

intense recovery attempts

been trying to recover my injured rectus femorises. trying everything.

  1. physio
  2. ice
  3. heat
  4. massage with cream thing
  5. stretch

that i did continuously last night. while waiting on the roadside, i stretched a lot. massaged a lot. then came home, iced, did heat, then massaged, then stretched again.

today when i woke up, i iced it, massaged with cream thing and then stretched.

"you have to want it to heal with all your heart"

so that's what i'm doing. nothing is impossible. unless you say that it is.

actually i want to qualify for 1500m quite bad. but i am rationalizing that if i want it to heal with all my heart then i will know that recovery is more important.

i miss track. sprints, high paced stuff. as soon as my muscles permit me to, i'm going to go down to the track and do some real running (:

i found this website while trying to see if i could dig up anything on the injury that would help me, well this line struck me- sometimes rest is even better than training.

so i am trying to treat this whole tedious, tiring, demoralizing treatment process as training. and then maybe this evening i can actually run again. maybe.

sometimes i'm so reluctant to accept the truth that i get up and walk around pretending that i can. i think of these fab workouts i'm going to do before my race. but then as soon as my foot strikes the ground and the pain just takes over, i realise once again that i'm not in any state to run.

i must say that the muscles are better than yesterday though. yesterday i couldn't stretch. today i can. still painful ofcourse. okay i'm hoping for a miracle...

okay i'm super bored now. troubled mind = cannot do any hw.

everybody's dancing in the moonlight
okay well no not really, i just like the song.

i want to run!!!! my mind will not rest till i can run properly again. hah.

[pat]* decided to runaway-.
